Florida, USA

While Thailand is usually thought of as being a backpacker’s destination, it is actually a fantastic place for families with kids. For something a bit cultural, you can take a look at the ruins in Ayutthaya or the temples in Bangkok before heading to the islands for beautiful beaches, complete with water sport options and plenty of delicious food for you and your young ones to sink your teeth into. You could even spend a day or two in an elephant sanctuary, an experience your kids will never forget.

Costa Rica

From the smouldering peaks of its many volcanoes to the perfect golden sand of its coastline, this vacation destination is nothing but pure beauty. Perhaps not the first place you might think to take your kids on vacation but Israel has a huge array of activities to keep the whole family entertained. If your family has an active streak then hiking in the Negev or climbing Masada are great options. Alternatively, head down to the Dead Sea and bob around like a cork in the super salty water.
